Hey All,

Following a very succesful food Drive headed by John Piree this past Fall, we're getting ready for our food/whateverelse drive this Spring and we need your support. Volunteers are needed to supervise collection sites and help with organizing/moving the donations. If you would like to volunteer, please send us a message, visit UMAS on campus (in the Chapel), or sign up on our website.

NeighborGoods is partnering with UMAS at La Salle and fellow F.O.C.U.S. organization "Let Them Know it's Christmas..."

LTKiC was started by a La Salle student in 2007 and collects food from students leaving school for winter break and donates the food to Philabundance, a local food shelter in Philadelphia.

Please help us make this drive a success by signing up to volunteer! You can sign up using the form on the Home Page or by leaving a message on our Facebook Page

Hey everyone. Thanks for the great response to the first set of invitations. Please don't forget to invite your friends and tell them to invite their friends, etc.

Though it seems early to be thinking about the Spring already, we're looking for people who are interested in being coordinators for dorms, recipients, etc. If you're interested in helping out, please don't hesitate to contact me, post to the wall, send and e-mail, etc.

More important for the time being, if any of you is interested in the possibility of being a part of NeighborGoods as an officer and managing the organization next year, please contact me.

In the mean time, I'll be sending out notices about a possible food/coat drive being run in conjunction La Salle Ambassadors this Winter. (Again, if any of you is interested in being a part of this drive, don't hesitate to let me/us know.)

Thanks Again for all your support! (Invite/volunteer with your friends! You never know who might be interested in helping out...)

Welcome back to a new school year. Following the succes of last year's drive, we're already preparing for May 2009. Starting this year, NeighborGoods will be a member organization of UMAS. Look for our table at the Activities Fair.

If you have not done so, please sign-up using the form on our sign-up page, or join our Facebook group.

Lastly, if any of you is interested in participating as an officer or manager, please contact Chris Chamberlain and let him know. We are looking for people to adopt the project for the 2009-2010 school year.

Welcome to the new web address of the NeighborGoods Collection Drive: www.donateyourstuff.org. This site will serve as a portal for the several groups and pages dedicated to NeighborGoods, as well as to our sign-up form and news/media. We will be providing updates throughout the summer as plans for next year's drive are drafted and finalized.

Thank you to everyone who helped out in any way with this project. It turned out to be an incredible success. We collected roughly 10 couches and futons, several refrigerators, microwaves, and lamps, over 15 large bags full of clothing, a ton! of food, and a whole lot more. All of the proceeds either went to the Salvation Army or a local homeless/domestic violence shelter. Look for the project to take place again next year. I'd like to take advantage of the residences not covered this year and get more volunteer support. Let me know if you or your club would be interested in helping out or parenting the project. With the right amount of help, I'm confident the collection could be doubled the next time around.

And of course, PLEASE let me know if you have any comments or suggestions regarding how the program might be run in the future. I'd love to get some feedback!

Thank you again,
Have a great Summer,

Chris
